In excess of 300 sports personalities, philanthropic and business leaders attended the annual University of Limerick President’s Gala Dinner organised by the UL Foundation in Adare Manor.
We were delighted to sponsor this year’s Gala Dinner. The Gala was hosted by Professor Des Fitzgerald.
Harry Fehily, Managing Partner, commented,
“We were honoured that our longstanding relationship with the UL Foundation and the University of Limerick were acknowledged by Loretta Brennan Glucksman, Chairman of the UL Foundation during the course of the evening.”
Professor Fitzgerald announced the signing of the contracts for the acquisition of the landmark Dunnes site in Limerick city centre by University of Limerick together with confirmation of a new access point to the University from County Clare. Holmes O’Malley Sexton acted for the University in this transaction.
Guests were entertained by a host of talent from the various faculties within the University including musicians, sports personalities and a wonderful interdepartmental audio-visual display which drew inspiration from the University campus.
The success of the University’s diversity and inclusion initiatives have been further bolstered by the commitment of in excess of €2million scholarship funding for asylum seekers. The role of the UL Foundation and local businesses in supporting these initiatives was warmly acknowledged by Professor Fitzgerald.
