Our team was out in force on Shannon Runway at 23:59 on Friday 22nd June 2018 for the third year running for the last Shannon Airport Runway Night Run 2018. All our thoughts, well wishes and proceeds from this event went to two charities; Clare Crusaders and Share A Dream.
With just over 5km to run or walk we were put through our paces with Mr Motivator’s (Richie Clifford) vigorous warm up and then set off in the dark to pound the runway as a sea of pink.
“The Clare Crusaders Children’s Clinic provides free therapy and specialist treatment to over 350 children with special needs in County Clare. We are a self-financing service located in Barefield, Ennis. The Clinic receives no state funding and must raise over €250,000 per annum to provide the current level of therapy for children.”
Share A Dream
“Share A Dream is funded entirely from within Ireland and the funds are spent in Ireland for the benefit of children suffering from life threatening illness, chronic disease and disability. Share a Dream does not receive any government funding and is entirely supported by individuals, community groups and companies – large and small.”
