Preparing your business for GDPR – Breakfast Event

Willis Towers Watson and HOMS Solicitors are co-hosting this event to help companies prepare for the impact of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which will come into force on 25th May 2018.

The event will focus on identifying the effect of GDPR on your business, developing strategies to address the challenges associated with GDPR and the insurance solution to help protect your business from possible exposures.

Speakers include:-

  • Seamus Carroll, Head of the Data Protection Unit, Department of Justice

Seamus is responsible for data protection policy, including legislation, in the Civil Law Reform Division of the Department. He represented Ireland during the EU Working Group negotiations on data protection reform, which resulted in the General Data Protection Regulation and the Law Enforcement Directive.

  • Harry Fehily, Managing Partner & Michael Murphy, Senior Associate, HOMS Solicitors

Harry and Michael are experienced solicitors who have advised upon cyber risks and data protection issues, particularly in the context of litigation and insurance issues; HOMS also has well-established public sector, regulatory and commercial units which regularly advise upon the impact of the GDPR for clients.
