Pathways to Success Seminar at UL Law Society

On 3rd October, HOMS Solicitors presented “Pathways to Success,” run in conjunction with the UL Law Society at the University of Limerick. Neil O’Gorman (Associate Solicitor in our Corporate, Commercial, Property and Banking Unit) and Rachael O’Shaughnessy (Senior Solicitor in our Plaintiff Litigation Unit) spoke to over 60 law students on behalf of HOMS Solicitors.

Their presentation outlined the process of becoming a solicitor, covering topics such as sitting the FE1 exams, securing a training contract, studying in Blackhall Place and in-office training. They advised students on how to improve their CVs and how best to prepare for interviews. They also highlighted the HOMS Solicitors summer internship, co-op placement, graduate internship and trainee programmes. This was then followed by a Q&A session.

HOMS Solicitors were delighted to be involved with this event and we hope it was of benefit to students who are considering becoming solicitors. We were also pleased to attend the UL Careers Fair on 5th October.
