Mid-West Lean Network Conference: Creating a Competitive Edge

Robert Bourke, Partner heading our plaintiff litigation team, was delighted to speak about our pioneering adoption of lean within the legal sector at the recent Mid-West Lean Network Conference held in University of Limerick. Robert explained how it has created a competitive edge for us in the provision of legal services.

Lean is a philosophy of continuous improvement through waste identification and reduction. We are committed to eliminating wasteful steps from the processes leaving remaining only that which adds value to the final product to the client.

Congratulations to Advanced Technical Concepts (ATC) and Molex who emerged as joint winners of the A3 storyboard competition sponsored by Lean Business Solutions which highlighted the application of lean tools in specific projects within their respective workplaces.

Robert also picked up some useful tips on dispute resolution from keynote speaker, Gary Keegan, former performance director with Irish Athletic Boxing Association’s high performance boxing program!

Finally, we wish to thanks Claude Costello, General Manager of Zimmer Biomet, master of ceremonies for the event, for his tireless work during his term as Chair of the Midwest Lean Network. We welcome and wish the very best to Jony Kelly, Enterprise Excellence Manager with Analog Devices Ireland, who takes up the Chair in 2020.
