We are pleased to sponsor the 2018 Best Large Business: Contribution to the Region Award at the Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards 2018. The launch of the awards took place this morning and Limerick Chamber are now open to receive nominations for one of the seven awards available. For further information on how to apply please view Limerick Chambers website here. You can also download the application form below.
At the launch James Ring, outgoing CEO of Limerick Chamber, making his last address in the role, spoke about the reshaping of the awards to make them more relevant for the vibrant business climate in Limerick.
Liam Brown, LIT, addressed the importance of Limerick Chamber in supporting businesses and creating employment for the next generation of graduates who through LIT’s ‘active learning’ philosophy are leaving LIT employment ready.
Conor Gillian of Roadbridge, last year’s winner of the large business award, which we again sponsored, spoke about the importance of the award in creating a discipline to look at what you have achieved, acknowledge the gaps, and using it as a basis to inform future strategy. Roadbridge are applying for and winning awards globally and Conor advised of the necessity to be winning on your own patch if you intend to compete on the global stage. On a personal level, he said that he would not have an opportunity to be in the room with CEOs of other multinational companies were it not for the Chambers of Commerce. Most importantly, in terms of HOMS Solicitors sponsorship of the award, Conor recognised a tangible benefit in that his company received local and national media attention around the award, as well as being contacted in relation to contracts directly as a result.
Good luck to everyone nominating!
