- Seven prosecutions for advertising the provision of a security service without being the holder of a licence;
- Nineteen prosecutions for the provision of services as a security guard (static) without being the holder of a licence;
- One prosecution for the provision of services as an installer intruder alarm without being the holder of a licence.
H. Pat Barriscale, head of our Litigation Department, foresees a continued focus on enforcement in the security industry in 2008 and stresses that all employers and providers should continue to be cognisant of their obligations under the Private Security Services Act 2004.
