Coffee Morning in aid of Lasallian Developing World Projects

On Monday 26th of January 2015, Laura Costelloe, a HOMS Legal Assistant, organised a coffee morning at HOMS to raise funds for the Lasallian Developing World Projects (LDWP).

LDWP is a small charitable organisation situated in the De La Salle College, Newtown, Waterford. The charity had its origins back in the early 1980’s when the De La Salle Brothers began organising short-term Summer Projects involving young adults in  local communities in different parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, initially, and subsequently in other countries in need.

Laura’s granduncle was one of the first De La Salle Brothers to bring volunteers with him to the affected areas. Laura is part of a group of 25 volunteers who will be travelling to Ethiopia this summer for a month long project of school building and teaching.

Well done Laura and best of luck from all at HOMS.
