Liveable Limerick is a social movement of volunteers, chaired by John Moran whose passion and love of his home city is encapsulated in the events they hold.
On 22nd November they held Liveable Limerick’s Christmas Dash event, with races up and down O’Connell Street.
The event was a great success and raised much needed funds for Novas and the Peter McVerry Trust, who provide homeless services.
HOMS Solicitors sponsored the Personalities Race, with well-known faces from Limerick, including Celia Holman Lee, our Mayor, James Collins, and members of the Limerick Ladies Football team who recently won the TG4 Junior All-Ireland Final 2018.
HOMS Solicitors were privileged to support such an amazing cause and our volunteers are already signed up for next year!
Special Delivery for Limerick Children!
Novas works with families and individuals who are socially excluded, primarily those who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Every Christmas, Novas collect and distribute gifts to children who are in need.
With much excitement and festive cheer, we were again pleased to send our special delivery to Novas, Limerick, this week. Emma Brewer, Legal Secretary, organised our staff’s contributions of Christmas presents for the children of Limerick. This year was our best contribution yet with 60 gifts presented. Well done to Emma, her helpers and all the staff here who contributed. Merry Christmas all.
The Limerick Sports Partnership Blanket 5K event collects blankets, coats, sleeping bags and shoeboxes of essential supplies for those in need to stay warm this winter.
The event was a 5K walk or run on Sunday 2nd December 2018 at 11 am commencing from University of Limerick’s sport boathouse. Participants’ registration ‘fee’ is simply to bring a clean blanket, adult coat, sleeping bag or shoebox filled with essential supplies such as new underwear, hats, gloves and toiletries. We were delighted to once again support the event and provide the Christmas refreshments after the event. Well done to everyone who took part.
