We were honoured to be invited to take part in the 2019 Entrepreneurship Summit, a joint initiative between UL Student Entrepreneurship Society and Kemmy Business School. The summit aims to inspire, enable and create the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Shane Costelloe, Associate Solicitor in our corporate and commercial department, was part of the panel of experts providing advice on financial supports for student start-ups in the “Investing in Future Entrepreneurs” discussion. Shane highlighted the importance of being aware of company law obligations as a director of a company, when it is a good time to adopt a shareholders’ agreement as well as key considerations for institutional investors. The day proved a great success and support to student start-ups with speakers providing inspiration through their own success stories, the benefits of creating a new enterprise and advice on creating an impact, entrepreneurial behaviour and developing business ideas.
