Siobhán is a partner in our corporate and commercial department and joined the firm in 2004. Her areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, employment, private equity, venture capital, intellectual property, information technology, public procurement, competition and public administrative law.
Siobhán acts for a broad range of clients including Irish and multinational private and public companies, venture capital and private equity investors, public authorities and commercial semi- state bodies.
Some of Siobhán’s most recent transaction experiences include acting for:-
- Brian McEnery (BDO), receiver and manager of the business and assets of Kilkenny Limestone Manufacturing Limited in the sale of its business and assets to Kilkenny Limestone Quarry Limited (a member of the Brachot Hermant N-V group of companies)
- Tractor Wholesale Limited (a subsidiary of McHales Plant Sales Limited) in the acquisition of certain business and assets of Zetor Tractor Ireland Limited from Zetor Tractor Ireland Limited, a member of the Zetor Tractor A.S. group of companies
- The sellers of Chipsensors Limited in relation to its sale to Silicon Laboratories Inc (sellers included the promoters, Enterprise Ireland, Kernel Venture Capital and ETV Capital).
- The sellers of a medical distribution business to Fannin Limited (a member of the DCC Group)
- The sellers of a retail business to Furey Smyth Group
- S.P.S. International Limited (a US sub of Precision Cast Corporation) on its sale of Fasteners, leading a team of advisers based in Ireland, Australia and the US.
- One Fifty One Group plc on its acquisition of Irish based metal recycling companies
- Completion of the acquisition of a construction company acting for the buyer
- Completion of the acquisition of an electronic design and engineering business acting for the buyer.
Holmes O’Malley Sexton is in demand for distressed asset sales and restructurings, and acted for the BDO receiver during the sale of Kilkenny Limestone Manufacturing to Kilkenny Limestone Quarry, a matter which was led by the ‘technically strong’ Siobhán Buckley.
