Michelle O’Riordan - Solicitor
Michelle is a solicitor in our business department and joined the firm in 2007. She specialises in employment and pensions law and also practices in insolvency and corporate recovery, environmental, competition and banking law, general transactional work and general commercial contracts.
Michelle acts for a wide range of clients including private companies, employers, pension trustees, universities and semi-state bodies.
Recently Michelle has advised on the employment and pensions aspects of a multi jurisdictional asset sale, and has advised the purchaser of a number of waste management companies, with particular emphasis on employment, competition and environmental law advice. She also drafts and advises on employment contracts and staff handbooks. Most recently she has drafted contracts and staff handbooks for a semi-state body and senior management employment contracts for a number of private companies
She is a member of our banking unit and advises regularly on corporate compliance issues arising in both national and international lending and security transactions. Most recently she has provided legal opinions in respect of Irish legal issues arising in international lending and security transactions.
Professional Activities:
She frequently gives presentations on employment issues for local businesses and writes on topical issues in the area of employment law.
