Keith Burke - Solicitor
Keith is a solicitor in our business department and joined the firm in 2005. He specialises in intellectual property and technology law, in particular the transfer and licensing of intellectual property and Irish and European Community trade mark law. He also practices in the areas of company law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and data protection law.
Recently he has been engaged extensively in preparing legal due diligence reports on behalf of clients in a number of acquisitions and has advised in respect of warranty and indemnity protection for buyers in both national and international transactions. In particular he has advised in respect of the intellectual property aspects of acquisitions.
Keith has advised on a number of substantial national and international corporate reconstructions involving stamp duty relief applications and corporate compliance issues.
He also deals with trade mark registration applications on behalf of clients and advises on the most appropriate trade mark protection strategy to meet clients’ needs.
In the area of data protection, Keith regularly advises on the obligations of and registration requirements for data controllers and data processers as well as preparing data processing agreements and data protection policies on behalf of clients.
Keith’s clients consist of a wide range of both indigenous and multinational businesses.
Professional Activities:
Keith recently presented to local businesses on protecting their trade marks and has also written articles on current issues in the areas of data protection and intellectual property law.

University College Cork, BCL Registered Trade Mark Agent Law Society of Ireland, Diploma in Intellectual Property & Information Technology Admitted to the Law Society of Ireland
